Rick Ryder is back, this time on the tracks of a killer he has met before. A serial killer is loose in the town of Eureka Springs, Ark. However, the notes are just like those from a bloody killer he and his partner Alex hunted for years ago. The only problem is that killer is in prison. Is the Kansas City Butcher back or is it a copycat killer that holds more ties to Ryder?
